Tom Paddington returned to racing having suffered a severe suspensory ligament injury.

Hughie Morris, his trainer was reported to have been amazed that he had even survived. 'Vets gave him no chance' he said.

After having been scanned the prognosis was that he would not be able to return to any active work and was to retire out to grass. Not willing to give up, the owner, Mrs Wilson decided she would try unhurried recouperation and referred him for spa treatment.
