After an initial assessment, which can take up to a week, and there may be the need to involve several professional people, such as the Vet, Farrier, Dentist, Physiotherapist, Nutritionist and Trainer.
Exercise can be introduced, it is a form of discipline and a routine to the horse, most horses rely on routine and direction to function, and in getting the balance right and achieving small goals at the beginning that will help shape the programme, to enable natural progression.
Some of the techniques used can be a combination of one or many techniques depending on the behavioural problem at hand, but can consist of Round Pen and Join Up, basic Ground exercise, Handling skills and Ridden and School work. |
