MOUTHING

Mouthing the horse is a very important part of any youngster’s training and this is done usually at week three. The previous work in the bitless bosal trains the horse naturally to stop, start and turn, so making the progression to mouthing somewhat easier. Adalberto has a keen eye and a great feel for mouthing the horse, looking at his confirmation and the way he works to determine the type of bit, so as to ease the transition to wearing a bridle.
